Head of UCE - doc. Katarzyna Dudek–Kostrzewa

prof. Zofia Konaszkiewicz
Zofia Konaszkiewicz – full professor, former Head of Music Education Chair of the UMFC. For many years she was the head of Interfaculty Education Department at the UMFC. She graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Warsaw as well as the Music Education of the State Music School in Warsaw (currently Chopin University of Music). At the University of Warsaw she also studied Pedagogy and graduated from the doctoral studies in this field. She received doctor’s and post-doctoral degrees at the Department of Pedagogy of the University of Warsaw and her professor’s degree at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences.  She published many books and research articles on broadly understood music pedagogy. Her main scientific interests include:

  • Psychopedagogical basis of teaching musicians with particular reference to personality issues;
  • Psychopedagogical basis of teaching future music teachers;
  • Educational and therapeutic functions of music with reference to persons at different development levels;
  • Psychopedagogical factors in the career of professional dancer.

Katarzyna Dudek-Kostrzewa
She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw where she studied the flute in Professor Elżbieta Gajewska-Gadzina’s class. She was awarded a scholarship by the Polish government to continue her studies of the flute at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Professor Marc Grauwels and Professor Georg Dumortier. She co-operated for many years with many Warsaw theatres (e.g., “Stara Prochownia”, “Dramatyczny”, “Pracownia Teatr” and “Scena Prezentacje”). She has been a member of the Teatr Niewielki group since 1990 and has many performances in her repertory which have attracted considerable interest. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Poland (Koszalin, Zielona Góra, Płock etc.) and abroad (Bulgaria, France, Belgium). Chamber musician. Teacher at the University of Music and different levels of music schooling. 2004–2008 Vice-dean of the Department of Music Education at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music. Senior Lecturer Katarzyna Dudek-Kostrzewa is currently the head of Pedagogical Course.

Agata Wardzyńska
Pedagogue, music theoretician. Graduate of the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and Postgraduate Management Studies at the University of Warsaw. Graduate teacher, head of the music theory section at the K. Szymanowski Music School Complex No. 4 in Warsaw. For many years an Assistant to the Board of the Sinfonia Varsovia Foundation. In the years 2010-2016 she conducted Methodology of ear training teaching within the Interdepartmental Pedagogical Study UMFC. Currently she conducts classes in ear training at Faculty III - wind instruments specialisation. Since 2010, in agreement with CEA, she has been coordinating the performances of Young Musicians at the Polish editions of the La Folle Journée Festival. She regularly conducts preparatory courses in music theory for candidates for the Secondary Music School. In her free time she is an accompanist of the Folk Dance Ensemble "Warszawa" at the J. Pilsudski Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw.
